This game is a puzzle that the group has to figure out the answer to. This is relatively a passive game that requires the group to think through the problem together to find the solution and is best suited to a group of four to six. If you have a group larger than that, we would recommend dividing them and giving each smaller group a puzzle of their own to work on.
For this puzzle you will need the letter spots used for the “Alphabet” game. So for this first variation take the spots with the following letters on back: “D,E,J,N,O,O,R,S,.T,U,W.” The challenge for the group is to spell just one word with the letters. The group may try to see if they can spell one word using all the letters. After some time, hopefully the group will figure out it is a trick. Because the challenge was to spell just one word, the answer to the puzzle is to spell the three words “just one word”. Of course, at this point you do damage control as a Group Leader because your group will be totally disgusted with you.
Variation: Instead of trick solution, see how may different words they can come up with a certain number of letters that you give them. We give a group 12 letters (make sure you give them a couple of different vowels) or so and then let them see how many different words they can come up with with any combination of letters.
